Live listening rooms,perfectly in sync
Press play together. V0Rooms keeps every listener on the same second of the same track while you chat, queue up records, and take turns DJing for the room.
What happens in a room
Everyone hears the same second
A room has one clock. Playback is synchronized across every listener, so the track you are on is the track everyone else is on — no drift, no counting down "three, two, one" in a group chat.
Take the decks
Rooms run on a DJ queue. Step up, add tracks, and play them out to the room; step down and hand the decks to someone else. The room keeps moving whether or not you are the one picking.
Talk over the music
Live chat sits next to the player, so reactions land while the track is still going instead of after it has ended.
Built on your listening history
V0Rooms is part of V0 Visualizer, so what you play in a room is scrobbled and folded back into your own charts, streaks, and taste profile.
Questions about V0Rooms
- What is a live listening room?
- A live listening room is a shared music session on the web. One queue plays for everyone in the room at the same time, in sync, while listeners chat and take turns choosing what plays next.
- Do I need an account to join a room?
- Yes. Rooms are tied to your Last.fm listening history, so joining, chatting, and DJing all require signing in to V0 Visualizer. Browsing what V0Rooms is does not.
- Does listening in a room scrobble to Last.fm?
- It does. Tracks you hear in a room count towards your listening history and show up in your V0 Visualizer dashboards like anything else you play.
- How much does V0Rooms cost?
- Nothing. V0Rooms is free, and so is the rest of V0 Visualizer.
